Trees For Sale

Tree Selection

Tree Selection has a few details you want to think about. Ask yourself: Do you want a tree for Shade? Or because it looks gorgeous?  Or because you want some privacy from the neighbor?  You want to consider the size of the area you’re putting a tree in as well. Some have aggressive root systems reaching 2 feet past the canopy drip line.

Some palm trees have long fronds that hang on a house if planted to close.  Some trees have fruit and it will drop on the sidewalk and driveway causing a little more maintenance than usual.

Yet the beautiful flowers and tasty fruit are worth it to some.

Considering your climate zone for the tree or shrub is very important. Some trees do not like cold weather and will die when to cold.

If you are in the Tampa bay metro area your zone is 9 or 10. The Plant Hardiness Zones divide the United States and Canada into 11 areas based on a 10 degree Fahrenheit difference in the average annual minimum temperature. (The United States falls within Zones 2 through 10).

For example, the lowest average temperature in Zone 2 is -50 to -40 degrees Fahrenheit, while the minimum average temperature in zone 10 is +30 to +40 degrees.

When it comes to deciding on a tree consider the above mentioned, a hasty decision can give a long time of regret or a lifetime of happiness.

Also call our office and we can help you make the right decision for the right tree or shrub for the right place.

Some other items you want to consider is growth rate, hard woods are slower and soft wood trees are typically faster growing.  Some trees lose their leaves (deciduous) and other trees are evergreen which retain their foliage year round. Some trees or palms are high maintenance and some are low maintenance.

You will find within the description of the species the majority of your questions on the trees for sale pages. All sales are final, no warranty on life of palms, trees and shrubs, no warranty on growth rate of palms, trees and shrubs.
