Certified arborist doing tree removal in FL

Tree Removal

When a tree is dead, dying or standing too close to a structure, we remove it safely and cleanly. We use cranes and controlled rigging to lower every section safely, then haul away all debris.

Tree Trimming & Pruning

Tree Trimming & Pruning

Regular pruning keeps trees healthy, attractive and far less likely to fail in a storm. The result is a healthier tree that stands up better to high wind.

Stump Grinding

Stump Grinding & Removal

We grind out old stumps completely, roots and all, so they never come back. What remains is usable ground, prepped for whatever you have planned.

Mangrove Trimming

Mangrove Trimming & DEP/EPC Permitting

Florida law sets firm limits on how and when mangroves can be trimmed. The result is an open view, a healthy stand of mangroves and zero regulatory trouble.

Tree Risk Assessment and Health Diagnosis

Tree Risk Assessment and Health Diagnosis

We use professional diagnostics to find decay and defects invisible from the ground. We map out the risks and give you honest options for each tree.

Plant Health Care and Fertilization Programs

Deep Root Fertilization & Injection

Surface feeding rarely reaches a mature tree’s roots; our injections do. Most trees respond with richer color and noticeably healthier growth.

Hiring a Professional Arborist

Commercial & HOA Tree Management

We build custom maintenance schedules for HOAs, condos and business properties. We keep your grounds safe, your residents happy and your liability low.

Post-Storm Tree Assessment

24/7 Emergency Storm Response

A tree on your house is an emergency, and we treat it like one. We prioritize safety, clearing hazards first and hauling debris right after.

Root Barrier & Foundation Protection

Root Barrier & Foundation Protection

Installed correctly, a root barrier protects hardscape for decades. It protects your hardscape without harming the tree.

tree relocation service

Tree Relocation & Transplanting

Using hydraulic tree spades, we move healthy palms and specimen trees to better spots. It is the smart option when a remodel, pool or new build is in the way.

Cable And Bracing

Cable and Bracing (Structural Support)

Mature trees often carry heavy limbs and weak unions that can split in high wind. Structural support hardware preserves trees that would otherwise be removed.

Meet Tony Padgett, the Certified Arborist Behind Every St. Pete Job

Tree work is judgment work, so it helps to know whose judgment you are buying. Tony Padgett holds the ISA Certified Arborist credential (FL-9569A) and the ISA’s Tree Risk Assessment Qualification, and has led Panorama’s crews since 2000.

On St. Petersburg jobs that means the person who quotes your oak is the same person answerable for how it is climbed, rigged and finished. Ask him anything: species, permits, what to plant after a removal.

Built for Tight Historic Lots

Old Northeast and Kenwood lots leave no margin for error. Cranes, AlturnaMATS® ground protection and vertical rigging move heavy wood over your roof, never through your garden beds.

City Permits, Fully Handled

Protected and Grand Tree work in St. Petersburg runs on paperwork: applications, arborist reports, posted permits. We file all of it and the quote you approve already covers it.

Storm-Ready Structural Pruning

Milton proved what unprepared canopies cost. Wind-thinning to ANSI A300 lets gusts pass through the crown instead of pushing the whole tree over, and it is the cheapest storm insurance a St. Pete yard can buy.

FAQs

St. Petersburg Tree Service: Frequently Asked Questions

For most healthy protected trees, yes: the city reviews an application with a certified arborist report before approving removal, and work should not start until the permit is posted. There are two shortcuts: clearly hazardous trees documented under Florida Statute 163.045 by an ISA Certified Arborist skip local permitting, and not every species is protected. We assess your tree first, then file whichever path fits.

The city gives its strongest protection to Grand Trees, and even pruning a major limb on one needs city approval. Laurel oaks are the notable exception: they age poorly and are excluded from Grand status. Our TRAQ qualified arborists prepare the condition report the city expects and email it to tr***@****te.org as part of the job.

Two different lessons. Helene pushed record storm surge into low neighborhoods like Shore Acres and soaked root zones, while Milton’s winds days later tore the roof off Tropicana Field and snapped a construction crane downtown. Water-weakened soil plus extreme wind is exactly the combination structural pruning and risk assessments are built for, so book them before June, not after a warning is issued.

The city is actively pushing to grow it: the Community Canopy Initiative set a goal of 1,000 new trees planted in 2025 because coverage still sits below the adopted target. On a private lot, the fastest way to help is keeping mature, healthy oaks alive, which is why we treat removal as a last resort and always price a preservation option first when one exists.
