About Us

Coastal Tree Service in Venice, FL Trusted Since 2000

Panorama Tree Care has tended Southwest Florida’s trees as a family business since 2000, and the Gulf Coast runs in our blood. On Venice’s barrier-island streets and waterfront lots, we bring 25 years of arborist know-how to trees that face challenges inland crews rarely see.

When Hurricane Milton came ashore just up the coast at Siesta Key in 2024, Venice homeowners saw how quickly a storm can turn a beautiful oak into a threat hanging over the roof. We help you stay ahead of it, shaping and securing your canopy before the season and clearing damage around the clock after it.

Coastal trees live a harder life here. Salt spray, sandy soil and a high water table weaken root systems, and the sabal palms lining so many Venice yards are under pressure from Lethal Bronzing disease. Our arborists spot these problems early, before they turn into emergencies.

We know the rules, too. From Protected and Heritage trees to the City’s Venetian Tree designations and the mangroves along the Intracoastal, every job is permitted correctly under the City of Venice tree code, so a violation never lands on you.

From Venezia Park and the historic downtown to South Venice, Golden Beach and Caspersen Beach, we’ve completed more than 24,000 projects across the region, and you always deal directly with a certified arborist (ISA #FL-9569A), never a call center.

Wherever you are in Venice, across ZIP codes 34285, 34292 and 34293, we’re your neighbors and your local tree team.

YEARS OF EXPERIENCE

Our Services

Residential & Commercial Tree Services in Venice, FL

We provide complete tree care built for Venice’s coastal conditions, salt exposure, sandy soil, mangrove-lined waterways and hurricane-force winds. From a single hazardous tree to full waterfront canopy care, here’s how we help.

Certified arborist doing tree removal in FL

Tree Removal

Venice’s sandy, salt-influenced soil and high water table leave even healthy oaks and pines prone to leaning and uprooting. We use company-owned cranes to lift hazardous trees out cleanly, protecting seawalls, pavers, pools and septic below.

Tree Trimming & Pruning

We follow ANSI A300 standards to thin and structurally prune coastal live oaks, laurel oaks and sabal palms, reducing wind resistance ahead of hurricane season so your canopy is far less likely to fail when a storm comes off the Gulf.

Stump Grinding

Our grinders chase roots well below grade so old stumps don’t resprout or attract pests in Venice’s damp, sandy soil. We backfill and prep the spot for replanting or new sod when we’re done.

Mangrove Trimming

Mangrove Trimming & Coastal Permitting

Mangroves along the Intracoastal, Roberts Bay and the Venetian Waterway are protected under Florida’s Mangrove Trimming & Preservation Act, with Sarasota County holding delegated authority. Our professional trimmers preserve your view and your shoreline while keeping every cut permitted and legal.

Tree Risk Assessment and Health Diagnosis

Tree Risk Assessment and Health Diagnosis

Our TRAQ-qualified arborists use advanced diagnostics to find hidden decay, root rot and storm cracking inside mature oaks and palms, damage that’s common after coastal storms but invisible from the ground, then give you a clear, honest plan.

Deep Root Fertilization & Injection

Venice’s sandy, salt-stressed soil leaves trees short on nutrients. We inject custom, slow-release fertilizer straight to the root zone to rebuild vigor in struggling oaks, magnolias and palms near the coast.

Hiring a Professional Arborist

Commercial & HOA Tree Management

We offer scalable maintenance plans for Venice HOAs and commercial sites, from Venezia Park and downtown to the gated communities off Jacaranda and US-41, keeping canopies safe, clear and code-compliant year round.

Post-Storm Tree Assessment

24/7 Emergency Storm Response

When storms slam the coast, as Hurricane Milton did at landfall near Siesta Key in 2024, our pre-staged crews respond around the clock to clear blocked roads, lift trees off homes, and make Venice properties safe, fast.

Root Barrier & Foundation Protection

Root Barrier & Foundation Protection

To stop aggressive oak and ficus roots from cracking slabs, pool decks and seawalls without killing the tree, we install subterranean root barriers, a smart fix for Venice’s tight island lots and fast-spreading coastal roots.

tree relocation service

Tree Relocation & Transplanting

Using hydraulic tree spades, we relocate healthy sabal palms and specimen trees to better spots on your property, useful when a remodel or new pool would otherwise force removal of a tree worth saving.

Cable And Bracing

Cable and Bracing (Structural Support)

Many of Venice’s mature oaks carry heavy, co-dominant limbs that split in high coastal wind. We install cables and braces to support weak unions and extend the life of trees that would otherwise have to come down.

Permit Guide

Do You Need a Permit to Remove a Tree in Venice?

It depends on the tree. Under the City of Venice Land Development Code, single-family lots of a half-acre or less are exempt for most trees, but removing a Protected, Heritage, Venetian or Canopy Road tree still requires a city permit, and Heritage or Venetian removals need a tree-protection plan from a Certified Arborist or Landscape Architect. As ISA Certified Arborists, we handle that assessment and paperwork for you.

When a Permit Is Required

Lots of a half-acre or less are exempt for everyday trees, but you always need a city permit to remove a Heritage, Venetian or Canopy Road tree, and replacements are required at one tree per tree removed (palms excepted).

Heritage & Venetian Trees

Venice protects native trees 30 inches in diameter or larger as Heritage Trees, plus Venetian Trees the City Council designates as significant. Removing one calls for a professional tree-protection plan, so we work to preserve them first.

Mangroves & Coastal Rules

Mangroves are protected under Florida’s 1996 Mangrove Trimming & Preservation Act, with Sarasota County as the local authority; no mangrove may be cut below six feet and larger jobs need a professional trimmer. Codes change and vary by lot, so we confirm the current Venice rules for your property before any work.
