About Us
Family-Run Tree Care Palmer Ranch Trusts Since 2000
Panorama Tree Care has been a family-run business since 2000, and Palmer Ranch, one of south Sarasota’s largest master-planned communities, is full of the canopy we’re built to protect.
When Hurricane Milton struck Sarasota County in 2024, just two weeks after Helene, even Palmer Ranch’s well-kept neighborhoods saw downed limbs and uprooted trees, a reminder that a single storm can put a tree through your roof.
We help you stay ahead of it, thinning and bracing canopies before the season and clearing damage 24/7 after.
Palmer Ranch’s oaks and pines grow in sandy soil with a high water table, which leaves shallow roots, and the area’s sabal palms face the spread of Lethal Bronzing disease. Our arborists catch these problems early.
Because Palmer Ranch is unincorporated, tree removal follows Sarasota County’s tree code and its Grand Tree protections for the largest oaks and pines, and many neighborhoods add HOA rules on top. We handle both.
You always deal directly with a certified arborist (ISA #FL-9569A), never a call center, backed by more than 24,000 completed projects across the region.
We serve all of Palmer Ranch, the 34238 area, from Prestancia and Turtle Rock to Deer Creek and the Legacy Trail communities.

Our Services
Residential & Commercial Tree Services in Palmer Ranch, FL
We provide complete tree care built for Palmer Ranch’s conditions, planned-community canopies, sandy soil, HOA standards and hurricane wind. From a single hazardous tree to full canopy care, here’s how we help.
Tree Removal
Palmer Ranch’s sandy soil and high water table leave even healthy oaks and pines prone to leaning and uprooting in a storm. We use company-owned cranes to lift hazardous trees out cleanly over tight lots, protecting roofs, pools and driveways.
We follow ANSI A300 standards to thin and structurally prune Palmer Ranch’s mature live oaks and laurel oaks, reducing wind resistance ahead of hurricane season so your canopy is far less likely to fail.
Our grinders chase roots well below grade so old stumps don’t resprout or attract pests in Palmer Ranch’s damp, sandy soil. We backfill and prep the spot for replanting or new sod.
Tree Permit & Grand Tree Compliance
Because Palmer Ranch is unincorporated, tree removal follows Sarasota County’s code. We handle the permit, the Grand Tree review for protected oaks, cypress and pines, and any required mitigation, so your project stays fully legal.
Tree Risk Assessment and Health Diagnosis
Our TRAQ-qualified arborists use advanced diagnostics to find hidden decay and storm cracking inside Palmer Ranch’s mature oaks, damage common after hurricanes but invisible from the ground, then give you a clear, honest plan.
Deep Root Fertilization & Injection
Palmer Ranch’s sandy soil leaves trees short on nutrients. We inject custom, slow-release fertilizer to the root zone to rebuild vigor in struggling oaks, magnolias and palms.
Commercial & HOA Tree Management
We offer scalable maintenance plans for Palmer Ranch HOAs and gated communities, from Prestancia and Turtle Rock to the commercial corridors along Central Sarasota Parkway, keeping canopies safe, clear and HOA-compliant year round.
24/7 Emergency Storm Response
When storms hit Sarasota County, as Hurricane Milton did in 2024, our pre-staged crews respond around the clock to clear roads, lift trees off homes, and make Palmer Ranch properties safe, fast.
Root Barrier & Foundation Protection
To stop aggressive oak roots from cracking slabs, pool decks and driveways without killing the tree, we install subterranean root barriers, a smart fix for Palmer Ranch’s tight planned-community lots.
Tree Relocation & Transplanting
Using hydraulic tree spades, we relocate healthy palms and specimen trees to better spots on your property, useful when a remodel or new pool would otherwise force removal of a tree worth saving.
Cable and Bracing (Structural Support)
Many of Palmer Ranch’s grand oaks carry heavy, co-dominant limbs that split in high wind. We install cables and braces to support weak unions and extend the life of trees that would otherwise have to come down.
Permit Guide
Do You Need a Permit to Remove a Tree in Palmer Ranch?
Usually, yes. Because Palmer Ranch is unincorporated, tree removal follows Sarasota County’s tree code (Chapter 54, Article XVIII), which requires a permit to remove or relocate most trees, while routine trimming generally doesn’t unless the tree is on a Canopy Road or right-of-way. As ISA Certified Arborists, we handle the assessment and paperwork for you.
When a Permit Is Required
Sarasota County requires a permit to remove or relocate most trees on your property, though basic trimming usually does not, unless the tree sits on a designated Canopy Road or public right-of-way.
Grand Trees Are Protected
The County designates the largest specimens of 12 native species, live oak, bald cypress, hickory, pine and more, as Grand Trees based on a points score for trunk size, height and spread. Removing one needs a county permit and strong justification, so we work to preserve them first.
Storm Cleanup & Mitigation
After a storm, dead or genuinely hazardous trees can usually be cleared without delay, but healthy protected trees still call for replacement or mitigation. Codes change and vary by lot, so we confirm the current Sarasota County rules for your property before any work.
Why We’re Palmer Ranch’s Best Tree Service
Tree work is high-risk, especially around homes, power lines and structures. We manage that risk with strict safety standards, real certifications and full insurance, so the liability never lands on you.
Workers' Compensation Insurance
We carry full workers’ compensation. If a crew member is hurt on your Palmer Ranch property, we’re liable, not you, unlike many cut-rate operators who leave you exposed.
ANSI A300 & Z133 Standards
Every cut and climb follows the national ANSI A300 and Z133 standards for professional tree care and crew safety.
TRAQ Qualified
Our hazard evaluations are backed by the Tree Risk Assessment Qualification, the industry gold standard for judging risky trees.
Grand Tree & Permit Experts
We work within Sarasota County’s tree code, including its Grand Tree rules, so every removal is handled legally, permitted correctly and properly mitigated.

Palmer Ranch Homeowners Who Trust Panorama Tree Care
Hear from real customers about their experience with our crews. From hurricane cleanup to careful oak and palm work, our commitment to safe, tidy, professional service is why people across the region keep calling us back.

We didn't have any problems. The tree was removed and there was no stump remaining. We have used Panorama on previous occasions and have always been pleased with the service and prices. Tony is especially knowledgeable about trees and straight forward with his pricing. He made it clear to the crew while he was onsite which branches were to be removed on some of the other trees that needed minor pruning.

Very efficient. They came out, assessed, then emailed estimate to me. I approved estimate online. They scheduled via email. They completed part of the work on day-1 and the remainder on day-2, and then emailed an invoice to me, and allowed me to pay online with no additional processing fees. I appreciated the efficiency of their communication and their work.

The owner came immediately to do an estimate of the work. We had a personal delay so I had to ask him to reschedule the work. He did so very professionally and cheerfully. They came on time with a crew of six or seven men. They all worked non stop except for a lunch break. Tony the owner explained the work to them and they broke off in teams and got all of the work done in one day including cleaning up the debris.
